Business Development Manager – New Account Sales

Upto £30,000 basic salary + bonus + extras
Full time – 40 hours per week
An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a leading manufacturer and distributor of fasteners as a Commercial Sales Manager.
We are looking for a highly experienced account or commercial manager who thrives on gaining new business, smashing targets and being the best.

A commercial manager’s is an exciting, yet demanding role, something different can happen each day, you will get highs from sales and need tenacity when you lose out. The role will consist of both telephone B2B sales, alongside visiting clients on site selling the product range and company face to face. You will need to be able to talk to a range of people from shop floor to board room level, attend events and expo’s, and think of new strategies and ideas to seek out new business.
Basic features of the role require:
– Previous experience within the fastener industry
– Previous experience of estimating, costing and submitting pricing
– Knowledge of the automotive industry and/or specialist manufactures a distinct advantage
– Report directly into the Managing Director
– Knowledge of purchasing and purchasing costs
– Driving licence (ideally clean)
– Knowledge of JIT system working
This role is based in Dudley, West Midlands but will involve local and regional travel whilst a large part of the role will be to attend live and prospective clients to discuss business and account development.
